About Stacey
I began acting in theatre in 2004 and made my screen debut in 2010. In the late 2010s I started film making - focusing on writing scripts and directing. I then started voice acting in 2022 and have a home built voice over studio. Over the years I have honed a variety of accents and character voices that I can lend to projects in theatre, screen and voiceovers. Born in the East of England. I spent my formative years in Essex and then a lot of my adulthood in London. The years I spent in London opened my mind to all kinds of people, gaining a profound insight into what it means to have shaped my mind with diversity and helped me with understanding myself better on that life long journey of self discovery. Growing up in a working class family as child with autism, ADHD and my queerness in South Essex was no walk in the park while navigating life with all these things going on as a child, though my parents did the best they could with an open mind and loving hearts. Identity became a life long struggle, although I had an idea of who I felt I was, it was acting and life experience that gave me an insight into who I am and taught me about humanity. I learned through experimentation with characterisation that I could shape myself into becoming somebody that fitted the environment I was in to feel more comfortable in that present moment. As the years passed with all these life experiences and going into my late 30s, I started to develop the kind of confidence I’d always desired and admired in others - and that’s to accept all that I am and to use my creative talents to embrace a life as an artist with authenticity.
